All Stitched Up
When Nicky launched her new website, she was full of enthusiasm and had done the hard work of setting up her shop items independently - no small feat! But when she asked me for feedback, I had to gently suggest that her website could use a bit of polishing to encourage visitors to stay and shop.
The site was full of bold swooshes and orange and black dashed lines that didn’t quite align with her brand. While Nicky was understandably overwhelmed, I reassured her that her efforts hadn’t gone to waste; we just needed to tweak a few things to bring her vision to life.
After a quick look between projects, I adjusted the colours and fonts to match her brand more closely. From there, I made further updates to the homepage, keeping the user experience in mind and guiding visitors toward the shop.
The result? A beautifully cohesive website that not only reflects Nicky’s unique brand but also invites visitors in, making them more likely to shop.

I took some time away from my business a few years ago.
On my return to it I attempted to design my new website. A complex, ecommerce site at that. Yes, yes, I can hear all the sniggering now. There is a lot to be said for sticking to what you do best, which for me is designing bespoke onesies, not websites.
In desperate measures I again turned to Claire at 20 Pence Productions.
Claire was very kind but very direct in her analysis of what I had 'done so far'. I wont lie I cried. It wasn't what I wanted to hear but it was, what I needed to hear. 'Do you have any idea how long it took me to get it that bad'? It was all I could think of to say.
So in her lovely kind way we talked about a plan to build on my ideas.
We are nearly there. Claire has fitted me in around her other work, and so far we have a working website that is getting huge hits because of the advice she gave me on linking my social media accounts.
The last week has seen 1700 visits to the site, mostly connected from social media.
So.....if like me, you know its not your thing, save the weeks and hours of heartache trying to do it yourself. Just contact the colouring in guru and let her sort it, and you, do what earns you money.
