LdC Editorial
When Lisa, the talented editor behind LdC Editorial, came to me for a logo, she already had a brand and colour scheme she loved - what she needed was the perfect visual mark to tie it all together. As a business book editor, Lisa wanted a design that would appeal to her professional clients, but she also wanted it to feel like her.
One fun detail I noticed right away was Lisa’s signature teapot, which made an appearance on nearly every call. Inspired by this, I initially tried a design with the teapot, adding a bit of quirkiness to the concept. But knowing her client base, I had to balance creativity with professionalism.
The design that really resonated with Lisa used her initials, LdC, arranged to reflect both her editorial expertise and love for books. This design struck the perfect note, blending her identity as a meticulous editor with a clear, classic feel.
After creating three options based on our discussions, Lisa quickly gravitated toward one of the logos. With a few rounds of fine-tuning, we landed on a design that was clean, professional, and unmistakably hers. And don’t worry - the teapot isn’t gone for good. Keep your eyes peeled, because it may make an appearance in the future!

Claire designed the logo for LdC Editorial and I’m so chuffed with the result.
We met on a virtual networking call, bonded over Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and have continued to stay in touch and chat on video calls as well as in LinkedIn comments and DMs.
I appreciated the chance to get to know Claire’s style before committing to a logo – her videos are informative and entertaining!
We had a good chat about what I was hoping for, and Claire offered three options that clearly reflected our conversation. Once I’d chosen an option, we went through more than one round of amendments to make sure that I was totally satisfied with the logo.
Claire made the process very straightforward, and there was no pressure or stress. Claire provided a package of logo formats, so I’ve been able to print the logo on a mug. I love looking at the logo mug and living with it in my hands. The logo really ‘gets’ my business identity.
Thank you so much, Claire.
